St. Catherine of Siena will have Lenten meals on Fridays during Lent, beginning February 20 through March 27. The meal begins at 5:30 p.m. in Johnson Hall, followed by Stations of the Cross at 7 p.m. and Mass at 7:30 p.m. in the church. The meals are free; donations are greatly appreciated. St. Catherine of Siena Parish offices will be closed on Monday, February 16, in observance of Presidents' Day. Daily Mass will be celebrated at 12 p.m. There will be no Adoration.

St. Catherine’s very own Troop 448 is selling Texas Native Hardwood Mulch (brown, non-dyed) for $6 per bag. Delivery is available within a certain area with a 10 bag minimum requirement for free delivery. There is a pickup option at the Circle C Community Center. Ash Wednesday is on Wednesday, February 18, beginning the season of Lent. We are aware that on Ash Wednesday the church is very full, with many desiring coming to receive ashes on their foreheads to symbolize the attitude of internal penance which we are called to throughout Lent. In response to this great outpouring, we will have two Masses as well as five Prayer Services. The Prayer Services are child friendly, and only last about 20 to 30 minutes. Masses will be held at 12 p.m. and 7 p.m. Prayer services will be held at 7:30 a.m., 10 a.m., 4 p.m, 5 p.m. and 6 p.m.

Monday, February 2, is The Feast of the Presentation of the Lord, also known as Candlemas. All are invited to bring their candles and place them on the altar for a blessing immediately before the daily noon Mass. Tuesday, February 3, is the feast day of St. Blaise. We will have the Blessing of the Throats immediately after the daily noon Mass.

St. Catherine's Preschool will be CLOSED and Religious Education classes are canceled for tomorrow, Tuesday, January 27. The Parish Center, including Pomegranate Cafe, will be closed tomorrow. Parish offices will open at 12 p.m. Daily Mass will be held at 12 p.m. and 7 p.m. We will not have Adoration in the morning. Thank you!

Dear Parishioners, I wish to inform you that I am retiring as Pastor of St. Catherine’s in December of this year. A new Pastor will be appointed and he will take up office in January, 2027. I will be retiring to the John Paul II Priest’s retirement center in Georgetown. With love, Fr. Pat.

Celebrate World Marriage Day on Saturday, February 7, at 5 p.m. Mass with a special blessing! If your 2026 wedding anniversary ends in a 0 or 5-year increment, we invite you to register so that your names can be read at the Mass. It's a busy week at St. Catherine's as we continue to prepare for the birth of Jesus. Please join us! On Friday, December 12, we will gather in the church at 7 p.m. for Christmas Carols, followed by cookies and other refreshments in Johnson Hall of the Parish Center. Our Lady of Guadalupe Mass will be on Saturday, December 13, at 5 p.m. The annual Mass for the Feast of Our Lady will once again feature a dramatization by our Amigos Club of the appearance of the Virgin Mary to St. Juan Diego. Refreshments will be served in Johnson Hall after Mass. On Sunday, December 14, join us for a telling of the Christmas story at 3 p.m. in the church, where attendees are invited to dress up as angels, shepherds and kings!

Masses for the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary will be held on Monday, December 8 at 12 p.m. and 7 p.m. This is a Holy Day of Obligation. For the noon Mass, the Apostles of Mary group invites you to the daily 11:20 a.m. rosary in the Day Chapel. After 12 p.m. Mass, you are invited to attend their potluck lunch in the Parish Center. Please bring a MAIN ITEM TO SHARE and enjoy the company of your fellow parishioners - and have a nice lunch, as well!

The second collection for this weekend (October 25-26) is for the Diocese of Austin’s annual Catholic Services Appeal (CSA).
