Update on Church Repairs

To date we have raised $616,320 which is nearing the amount we will need for this project. We have finalized a bid with a contractor for a total cost of approximately $1.826 million. We have $1,721,538 in hand today. These monies consist of funds raised through the diocesan Encountering Christ campaign, the value of the Church’s existing stock portfolio and funds raised for the Church repairs. This amount is about $104,472 short of what we will need. Hopefully the remainder will come soon. We had hoped to start construction in May but have recently learned that the City will require that we obtain a complete appraisal of our property before we can finalize the permitting process. This appraisal will likely take about 1 month to complete. Consequently, we don’t anticipate starting the project until July. Let’s all hope and pray that our existing system will keep us cool while we await the permitting process and our new HVAC.
