All are invited to celebrate the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus on Friday, June 27 at St. Catherine of Siena, with Mass at 12 p.m., the Chaplet of Divine Mercy and adoration at 3 p.m., and an evening Mass at 7 p.m. that will be immediately followed by adoration and benediction. As part of the feast day, the Knights of Columbus will display an icon depicting the most famous image of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, painted in 1767 by Pompeo Botini. The reproduction is one of 300 icons traveling around the world as part of the Knights of Columbus Pilgrim Icon Program, which began in 1979.

Starting Monday, June 2, St. Catherine’s will have a Summer Reading Book Club. Families and children in elementary school are invited to stop by and check out some books on saints, Scripture stories and other good reading. The library is located under the staircase in the main Administration building and is come-and-go. Kids are invited to pick up a reading log and track their reading over the summer. Anyone who reads 600 minutes and returns a filled-out log can choose a prize from our Big Box of Religious Goodies. The Summer Reading Program will end on August 29. Parents, we invite you to pick up some good summer reading, as well! Parenting books and other good reads for adults will also be available.

As we prepare for Easter, there are many activities this week at St. Catherine. On Thursday, our Holy Thursday Mass will be celebrated at 7:30 p.m. On Good Friday, Family Stations of the Cross will be held at 10:00 a.m., the Stations of the Cross will be held at 3:00 p.m. in the Church. The Passion Service will take place at 7:30 p.m. On Holy Saturday, we will have the Blessing of the Easter food baskets at 9:30 a.m. in the Day Chapel. We will have an Easter Egg Hunt at 10 a.m. on church grounds. The Easter Vigil Mass will be held at 8 p.m. The Parish Offices will be closed Thursday, April 17 through Monday, April 21.
