Registration is now open for the 2026-2027 school year! Please read the information below before enrolling your child(ren). We are looking forward to another wonderful school year! For the 2026-2027 school year, we have the following programs: - Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (Kindergarten)- Children's Evangelizing Catechesis (Grades 1-6)- Ignite (Grades 7-8 Pre-Confirmation)- Ablaze (Grades 9-11 Pre-Confirmation)
- Confirmation (Grades 9-12 with two years of Pre-Confirmation completed)- Becoming Catholic: The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA) Adapted for Children & YouthMore information about each program is detailed below. In order to enroll children into any of our programs, the following must be complete:
1. Families must be registered parishioners at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church.
2. At least one parent must complete the Ethics in Ministry (EIM) program through the Diocese of Austin. This parent will be required to help out in the classroom at times during the year. EIM certification is good for three years.
3. Copies of your children's baptism certificates need to be turned in to the Faith Formation office if your child is preparing for a sacrament and we do not already have one on file.4. EIM workshop completion date and baptism certificate should be sent to [email protected].

Children’s Evangelizing Catechesis (Grades 1-6) – A New Year, A New Approach
St. Catherine’s Children’s Faith Formation is now Children’s Evangelizing Catechesis!
What does this mean? Our focus this year will be on building community and helping children and families grow in a lifelong joyful and life-giving faith:- Our weekly in-person program will begin with a large group gathering in the hall where we pray and celebrate together as a community before moving to individual, grade-level classrooms.
- Families will be encouraged to join us for Sunday Mass; however, the Liturgical Seek & Find will not be part of our program this year.
- Our Family Faith program will still afford families the opportunity to take the lead on their children’s catechesis at home on their schedule while attending and participating in parish events to develop a deeper connection to our parish community.
“Evangelizing catechesis seeks to deepen a personal encounter with Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit” (Handbook on the Catechetical Accompaniment Process). In this process, the Church first seeks out and welcomes us when we are moved by the Gospel and then accompanies us, assisting us in the lifelong process of becoming great disciples. Students in Grades 1 - 6 Who HAVE NOT Received First CommunionRequirements: One year of Faith Formation (Grade 1 or older) and then a one-year First Reconciliation/First Communion Class. Either Tuesday Weekly Classes (4 p.m. or 6 p.m.) or Family Faith Formation ( a parish engagement/family-based hybrid)are available for both years of First Reconciliation/First Communion preparation. Second year First Communion Class Information (Grade 2 or older)
Students in Grades 3 - 6 Who HAVE Received First Communion
Choose from one of two options:- Tuesday Weekly Classes at 4 p.m. or 6 p.m. (6th grade class is offered at 6 p.m. only).
- Family Faith Formation - a parish engagement/family-based hybrid.
Pre-Confirmation and ConfirmationOptions for grades 7 - 8 Pre-Confirmation (Ignite), grades 9 - 11 Pre-Confirmation (Ablaze) and Confirmation (grades 9 - 12 after two years of Pre-Confirmation classes) are offered.
