Families in the At Home program need to attend any six events listed below during the Faith Formation Year (three in the fall and three in the spring semester). Families in weekly classes with children in the first or second year of Sacrament Preparation need to attend at least one Advent event and at least one Lenten event.
Then, email a photo of your family participating in the event to [email protected]. Make sure to include your children's names with the photo.

Men's ACTS Retreat
Lenten Meals: Each Friday during Lent, the Knights of Columbus host a meatless Lenten Meal, upstairs in Siena Hall. (Donations accepted.) After the meal, everyone is invited over to the church to pray the Stations of the Cross. Finally, there is Mass. Families are invited to attend the Lent Meal and stations as often as they can during Lent, but only one meal will "count" for a Spring event. Pictures for the Lent meal need to include the meal AND either Friday stations OR Friday Mass.

**Rice Bowl Project: Because the purpose of requiring Parish Events is to participate in parish life and get to know other families, the Rice Bowl Project needs to be done together with two or more families in St. Catherine's RE program. It does not "count" as an RE event if it is done only at home by a family individually, although we certainly encourage individual families to fill the Rice Bowl during Lent.
To do the Rice Bowl as an RE Spring Event, pick up a Rice Bowl on Ash Wednesday and do the 4 prompts as families together:
1. decide on a donation goal to meet by Easter. Send us an email telling us which families you are doing this project with, and a photo of you both.
2. follow the calendar's daily reflection through Lent and tell us which activities you enjoyed the most
3. make one or more of the Lenten recipes from the CRS website (Lenten Recipes | CRS Rice Bowl) Send us a photo of the families enjoying the food together, and tell us what you cooked.
4. After Easter, send us an email and photo telling us how the Rice Bowl project worked for your families, and what you learned from it.
