On the day of Baptism, parents promise to raise their child in the Catholic faith and to see that the divine life, which God has given the child, is kept safe and grows stronger in the child's heart. The Holy Spirit fills the child with gifts and graces to guide them. As the child grows, they go to their first Reconciliation and receive Eucharist for the first time. As the years of middle school and high school approach, so does the time for the Sacrament of Confirmation, when they are sealed with the gift of the Holy Spirit and strengthened for service to the Body of Christ.
If you have a middle school or high school age child and would like them to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation, St. Catherine of Siena provides pre-Confirmation and Confirmation classes for youth. Click here for information.
