Hours and Days of the Week
Preschool hours are from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM from August through May. The days of operation are Monday through Thursday. We are closed on Friday.
We follow the AISD school calendar loosely. If AISD schools are canceled or delayed due to weather or any other reason, St. Catherine's Preschool will remain closed for the entire day. We will also follow the CDC guidelines for Childcare Programs.
The first day of school for the 2026-2027 year will be August 24, 2026. -

8:55-9:10 Arrival Table Time activities, small group learning 9:15-10:00 Outdoor Active Time Teacher-led and child-led active play using small and large muscles. 10:00-10:30 Snack Snack provided by the parent 10:30-11:15 Free Choice Play-Based Learning Dramatic Play, Blocks and Building, Math, Literacy, Sensory, Art, Library, Puzzles 11:15-11:30 Class Learning Activity Large group activity 11:30-12:00 Lunch Lunch provided by the parent 12:00-12:45 Outside Active Time Teacher-led and child-led active play using small and large muscles. 12:45-12:55 Story and Class Meeting Story and large group activity 12:55-1:05 Dismissal *Music and movement is once a week for 2-year-old children to include singing, dancing and movement to music. The Texas Two-Year-Old Early Learning Guidelines are consulted when writing activity plans, ensuring high-quality learning experiences to support children's growth.
