Staff

My name is Heather Riley and as Interim Director of St. Catherine's Preschool, it is my vision to instill a love of the Lord and the world he created for us in the hearts of all children and their families.
 
At St. Catherine's Preschool, we believe in the power of play, strong relationships, and the gentle guidance of faith.  Our curriculum is emergent, inspired and lead by children's interests as well as their developmental needs. Our spiritual foundation is rooted in the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd which looks to plant the seed of faith and love of God and his creation through active involvement lead by our wonderful teachers and staff.
 
With over 15 years of experience in Early Childhood Education - including PreK and K-1 At-Risk, PreK Special Education, and Private PreK - I bring a depth of understanding of childhood development and learning to my students, their families and my staff.  I received my B.S. In ECE from Illinois State University and have continued my education through TSU in ECE and Special Education.
 
I have been married to my wonderful husband for 25 years, we have three wonderful crazy kids who keep us very busy. When I'm not at St. Catherine's worshipping or teaching, I'm with my family.  We love spending time together swimming, playing games, talking, exploring, and vacationing. Texas has been our home since 2001 and St. Catherine of Sienna has been our cherished community since 2005.
