As construction plans for our sanctuary HVAC and other repairs are put into place, we want to make everyone aware of schedule/location changes beginning Saturday, August 1, 2026. In observance of our nation's 250th anniversary, parish offices will be closed Thursday, July 2, and Friday, July 3. There will be 12 p.m. daily Mass. There will be no Adoration. Have a safe and happy holiday!

Are you enthusiastic about working with children? Do you wish to share your faith with young ones? Consider whether God may be guiding you to become a teacher. St. Catherine’s Preschool is seeking a part-time Teacher Assistant. The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) approved the consecration of the United States to the Sacred Heart of Jesus in 2026 to accompany the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Our parish joins the bishops in consecrating our nation to the Sacred Heart of Jesus on June 7. We invite all families to pray the Consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus at all Masses.

St. Catherine of Siena Parish offices will be closed on Monday, May 25, for the Memorial Day holiday. There will be daily 12 p.m. Mass. There will be no Adoration.

The Masterworks Singers and Orchestra, conducted by Dr. H. Morris Stevens, Jr. will perform the premiere of the commissioned work Aeterna Via by award-winning composer Elaine Hagenberg at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church. This concert will feature the new 7-movement Aeterna Via plus other selections evoking emotions of hope, healing, and peace. The concert is free. There will be a free-will offering collected.

Saint Catherine of Siena was a Third Order Dominican known for her contemplation and prayer—as well as her involvement in Church and civil affairs. During the time when there were two and three popes each claiming the papacy, Saint Catherine sided with Pope Urban VI. She was named a Doctor of the Church in 1970. Dear Parishioners, I wish to inform you that I am retiring as Pastor of St. Catherine’s in December of this year. A new Pastor will be appointed and he will take up office in January, 2027. I will be retiring to the John Paul II Priest’s retirement center in Georgetown. With love, Fr. Pat.

Fr. Pat has written a letter updating information on sanctuary improvements, including replacing the HVAC system, Cupola repairs and roof replacement. St. Catherine of Siena needs an additional $735,000 in funds to make the final repairs to our beloved sanctuary and we are requesting donations from parishioners. Click here to read Fr. Mass Times: Easter Vigil Mass, Saturday, April 19, 8:00 p.m.* Sunday, April 20, Masses: 7:30 a.m., 9:30 a.m.*, 11:30 a.m., and 1:30 p.m. (* These Masses will be live-streamed.)

As we prepare for Easter, there are many activities this week at St. Catherine. On Thursday, our Holy Thursday Mass will be celebrated at 7:30 p.m. On Good Friday, Family Stations of the Cross will be held at 10:00 a.m., the Stations of the Cross will be held at 3:00 p.m. in the Church. The Passion Service will take place at 7:30 p.m. On Holy Saturday, we will have the Blessing of the Easter food baskets at 9:30 a.m. in the Day Chapel. We will have an Easter Egg Hunt at 10 a.m. on church grounds. The Easter Vigil Mass will be held at 8 p.m. The Parish Offices will be closed Thursday, April 17 through Monday, April 21.
