Interested in making music over the summer? St. Catherine is planning a week-long event for young musicians! Our Summer Music Camp will take place on the mornings of June 15th through 18th (8:45 AM - Noon), Camp will also include a fun day out at a local beach club on Friday (8:45 AM - 4 PM). Our Camp Music Ensembles will offer the music at two Masses on the weekend of June 20th (5 PM) and 21st (9:30 AM). Participation Monday through Thursday and at the Masses is required of all Camp Musicians, to help ensure successful outcomes for everyone involved!
Camp attendees will be able to stay for additional practice until 1:00 PM if they bring a bag lunch; the lunch break will be from 12 to 12:30.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Although we will all learn and grow as musicians this week, and help each other do so, the schedule will not allow time for lessons on individual instruments.
Summer Music Camp is open to the children of registered parish families entering 7th Grade and beyond.
Younger instrumentalists and singers (5th Grade and up) who have completed two full years of lessons or in-school ensembles may also be eligible, if they are able to:
The Music Director will make assessments to determine if the Camp is a good fit for these children.
Vocalists and Instrumentalists of all categories (Brass, Woodwinds Strings, Percussion, Keyboard and more) are invited! The cost for the week will be $85 per student; this will include the music materials and a Camp T-Shirt, as well as admission to the water park (includes lunch) on Friday.

Experienced musicians are very much needed to help lead and guide! Advanced High School Students can earn Service Hours for helping mentor younger musicians. We also need other volunteers to help us keep our activities fun, organized and running smoothly!
