Friends of the Poor Walk Sponsorship

Dear Friend,

On Saturday, April 11, 2026, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church will host its 3rd annual Friends of the Poor Walk. Our mission is to follow Christ by serving those in need. We serve in hope and minister to all regardless of creed, ethnic background, health, gender, or political opinions.

   - In fiscal year 2024-25, our direct assistance to 1,143 neighbors totaled more than 
    $159,000.
   - We sponsored school supplies valued at $7,700, ensuring that kids were ready for school.
   - Our Giving Tree project totaled $25,000, fulfilling Christmas wish lists, and including food
     and grocery cards.
   - We receive and respond to phone calls from neighbors living in zip codes 78736, 78737,
     78739, 78748, and 78749.

We need your help. The goal of this fundraiser is to net $15,000 or approximately 10% of our annual budget. Many of the people we help are your neighbors, too. Please prayerfully consider sponsoring our walk at one of the giving levels outlined on the following page. The benefits to your business will be both tangible and intangible, as many people will thank you in prayer, in addition to the benefits outlined. You will have a direct impact on keeping individuals and families in their homes, with power on and food on their tables, because of your gift. The Society’s members (Vincentians) are all volunteers, so every dollar given goes to help our neighbors in need.
